Volunteers are integral members of the hospice care team — from the front desk to the bedside. The screening is thorough and the ask is a year, but training is provided in full, both general and role-specific.

Volunteer-based quality-of-life navigation for clients living with declining health at home
What you need
Twelve-month commitment, minimum four hours a month
Two references, and a criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
Application, screening, then an interview
Family of former patients may apply one year after their loved one’s death
