Dartmouth’s mic, in a low-ceilinged pub off the ferry terminal. Warm crowd, no booking required — just turn up half an hour early and get on the list. The right place to do your very first five.

The Bedford mic — worth the drive precisely because it isn’t on the peninsula. Different crowd, fewer comics in the room, and material that dies downtown sometimes works fine out here.
