In-school mentor

In-school mentoring takes place at the child’s school during school hours: one hour a week of board games, crafts or physical activity with the same student. Once you’re approved, the Match Support team weighs the needs and interests of both sides before introducing you.

Matched one-to-one outside school — hours arranged with the family

What you need

Volunteer approval process before matching
Info & orientation session — note the agency is moving offices this September, so sessions may be delayed

Worth knowing

Match Support staff stay in regular contact through the match
An introductory meeting happens before anything is final
