Brendan Lyle's "Tracy and Martina: Goin' Out West" follows two Cape Breton pals on a chaotic Alberta road trip that spirals when their plans fall apart. Carbon Arc's screening Saturday at 6pm is your chance to catch this Canadian gem that deserves more than a multiplex run.
Saturday, August 15, 6:00 PM Brendan Lyle | Canada | 2025 | 90 min ICYMI stands for “In Case You Missed It (at the Multiplex)”, where we screen films we think deserve a longer theatrical run! Two Cape Breton best friends head west to Alberta for the first time with the hopes of making a few bucks as they open for a local band, but things go south when their accommodations fall through and they run out of money before booking a flight back home. "Goin' Out West has little regard for how the comedy will work for those outside Canada, or outside the Atlantic region for that matter. The film has been made with a particular audience in mind, and thanks to Williamson, Vardy and Lyle's purposeful ignorance of periphery, Goin' Out West serves as a prime example of Canadian comedy at its best." - Rachel Ho, Exclaim Tickets $12 ($11.40 at the door if available) Saturday, August 15, 6:00 PM tickets Tagged coming soon
