Hope for Wildlife opens its doors for its one-day-a-year Open House, offering behind-the-scenes tours of the wildlife rescue and rehabilitation facility, including medical facilities, bird and mammal nurseries, recovery units, the marine unit, and the giant flight cages. The day also features wildlife demonstrations, over 30 resident education animals, kids' activities, live music, a barbeque, silent auction, local exhibitors, crafts and food. Admission is free with donations welcome, and all funds raised support the care of injured and orphaned wildlife in Nova Scotia.
