Halifax Fringe Festival – Sep 03-13

Opens soon Runs Sep 3 to Sep 13

This September 3rd to 13th, the Halifax Fringe presents its 36th annual festival, the largest of its kind in Atlantic Canada. The Halifax Fringe is eleven days of live, uncensored, and uncurated performance art. Our festival is full of genre-busting theatre, comedy, one-person tour de forces, and so much more. You can catch everything from Shakespeare to sword swallowing, all at an affordable price and in accessible venues. There are a lot of new things to love about the Halifax Fringe. We have discounted 5 and 10 show passes! We have a Late Night Cabaret! We have a Kids Fringe! We have an Audience Review Platform! We’re also very excited to introduce Halifax Fringe’s new mascot: the Golden Lobster! Halifax Fringe 2026 features many beloved local artists and producers, as well as more than twenty-five productions from outside of Nova Scotia. The Fringe is your best chance to catch some of the most exciting independent touring work happening today. In addition to productions at our official, accessible festival venues–including Neptune Theatre, Bus Stop Theatre, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, and more–we have 10+ shows taking place in unique, accessible spaces throughout the HRM. These Bring Your Own Venue (BYOV) productions offer some of the most groundbreaking work in Halifax Fringe. Show listings, passes and tickets are available at halifaxfringe.ca. The best resource we offer is the Halifax Fringe Festival Guide, available at any of our official venues, as well as on our website’s homepage as a viewable/downloadable PDF.
