Books Beyond Bars runs a bi-weekly book request program in Burnside and is collecting donations of books, journals, notebooks, sketchbooks, scribblers, and lined or blank loose paper (nothing coil-bound). Drop-offs are accepted at Slow Mornings Halifax (formerly Alteregos) and Venus Envy. A wishlist is also available through Kings Co-op Bookstore, where purchases come with a discount and support a local co-operative.
