The Discovery Centre highlights a series of August sky-watching opportunities visible with the naked eye, including a partial solar eclipse, the Perseid meteor shower peak, Venus low on the horizon after sunset, and a partial lunar eclipse. Never look directly at the sun without ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses or an indirect projection method.
